Global transport and logistics business DSV has taken delivery of its 1,000th truck in the UK from MAN Truck and Bus.

The operator’s latest addition is a New MAN TGX 26.500 6x2 tractor with the range-topping flagship XXL cab and sports a commemorative silver livery.

The New TGX 26.500 XXL joins a 172-strong fleet, 142 of which are MAN. Based at DSV’s Immingham depot, it is delivering unitised loads across the UK.

Keith Northen, fleet manager for the Immingham DSV Road division, says: “This vehicle marks not one, but two milestones for DSV here in the UK. Firstly, it is the 1,000th MAN truck that we have operated within our UK fleet over the past 20 years, and secondly all 1,000 vehicles have been sold to us by the same contact from MAN, Mark Price.”

Northen adds: “With over 20 years of experience in specifying and supplying our vehicles, Mark knows exactly what we need and delivers on time, every time.”

The new TGX is supplied with a two-year MAN ‘Relax’ Gold R&M package, as well as the standard three-year vehicle warranty.

The flagship TGX has been specified with MAN’s Style Package, leather seats and cab trim, satnav with 7in colour screen and air conditioning.

Safety extras include EBA braking, Lane Guard and cornering lights. Other features include MAN EfficientRoll and EfficientCruise for improved fuel economy, a sliding 5th wheel, and alloy wheels fitted with Michelin Eco tyres.
