There is high demand for its patient transport vehicles, with 350 for Yorkshire Ambulance Service and 119 for The North East Ambulance Service, which has also ordered a dozen rapid response vehicles.
The success follows the appointment of Oliver North as managing director. He is driving a ‘built in Britain’ philosophy as part of the firm’s ‘Project O&H 2.0’ – the term O&H is using for its new strategy to boost innovation and efficiency.
North says: “The exceptional first quarter of 2019 represents the wholehearted desire of our reinvigorated team here at O&H.
“At the start of 2019 we recognised all that needed improving at the organisation as we pressed the button to make it happen. All aspects of O&H needed improvement but, luckily, we have the experience and pedigree to have made the changes as quickly as possible.
“We will strive for continual improvement of our company to put us back to where we used to be: as UK market leader.”
