Even bigger and better CV Show promised for 2013

The 2013 Commercial Vehicle Show – to be held between 9 and 11 April next year at Birmingham's NEC – looks set to be worthy of international status, given the attendance of many returning manufacturers and major industry suppliers.
With the implementation date for Euro 6 set for January 2014, next year's Show will be an early opportunity for truck manufacturers to present their latest vehicles to UK customers, and several key products are already lined up for their debut in Britain. Among vehicles that many UK buyers will have their first chance to see are DAF's Euro-6 XF, Volvo's new FH and Mercedes-Benz's Citan van. Fresh from its Stralis Hi-Way being awarded the International Truck of the Year accolade for 2013, Iveco says it will return to the Birmingham show after five years' absence. The new vehicle will have pride of place on the company's stand, it says. MAN Truck & Bus will also take the opportunity for the first UK showing of its Euro 6 cabs. Aside from new vehicles, though, the CV Show organisers say there will be plenty of other new technology on show. For example, following from the launch earlier this year of Isuzu's telematics system, Mimamori, the CV Show 2013 will see the launch of its next stage driver and operator management programme, Mimamori 2.
