Renault’s Formula 1 team will arrive at the first stage of the European season in Barcelona this month, transported by Renault Range T 4x2 tractors.
The vehicles are equipped with Euro 6 DTI 13-litre 520bhp engines, to haul the F1 single-seaters, spare parts and various motorhomes for team operations.
All the vehicles are fitted with the Eco-Fuel pack, which combines several technologies designed to reduce fuel consumption by up to 4%. These include an inhibited power mode, eco cruise control with Optiroll controlled freewheeling, a disengageable air compressor, a variable flow steering pump and automatic engine cut-out.
Range T vehicles will also be used for Renault Sport’s other competition activities, including logistics for Formula E.
