Argos good to go with Microlise fleet telematics 11 January 2017

Argos, the digital retailer owned by Sainsbury’s, is expecting live visibility of its vehicles and estimated arrival times from a new Microlise transport management system currently being implemented.

Laurence Garnett, head of home delivery at Argos, says managers will be able to take action to maximise on-time performance and keep customers informed of any delivery delays

“Delivering a positive customer experience is an absolute priority for us and customers tell us that being on-time or informing them of any change is really important,” comments Garnett.

“Microlise will be a very powerful solution to help us further improve our high standards for on-time delivery, as well as keep customers up to date with the very latest delivery information,” he adds.

Beyond that, Argos and its drivers will gain insights into driving performance, measured via Microlise’s A to G rating system – potentially enabling fuel and insurance premium reductions, but also enabling a focus on safety and brand management.

Argos is currently installing telematics hardware across its entire two-man UK home delivery fleet.
