Kwik Fit reports soaring demand for LCV fleet servicing09 March 2015

Kwik Fit is reporting increased demand for fleet repair servicing, outside its traditional tyre replacement offer, with mechanical services for light commercial vehicles up 11%, brake repair and replacement work up by 24%, and MOTs on cars and vans up by 18%.

This growth, says Kwik Fit, has been prompted by its opening of 20 Kwik Fit Plus centres, mainly across the South East, where it has a second engineering team focusing on mechanical services.

The company is also rolling out an improvement programme for its 600 UK centres, many of which now carry out Class 7 and Class 4 MOTs.

"The opening of Kwik Fit Plus centres has helped enormously in encouraging more fleets to use Kwik Fit for vehicle mechanical work," says Peter Lambert, fleet director.

"Fleet manager and driver confidence in Kwik Fit's ability to undertake mechanical work on vehicles, in addition to traditional fast-fit work, is growing rapidly and we expect that trend to continue in 2015."
