Life support for drivers and ‘O’ licences at CV Show 06 March 2014

Transport training specialist Novadata is to offer a compliance health check at the CV Show, showcasing its training services and compliance- products for drivers and operators.

"It isn't enough simply to hold a vocational or operator licence," insists Novadata chairman and founder Derek Broomfield.

"Drivers and operators need to actively protect their licences in order to safeguard their livelihoods," he continues.

Broomfield says that operators must ensure that they fulfil the obligations of their legal undertakings – and so demonstrate that they have done their best to comply is essential.

"Among other obligations, this involves keeping accurate records of drivers' hours and regular vehicle defect checks, so we provide a range of simple to use products which make accurate record keeping easier," he explains.

"We also provide digital and analogue tachograph analysis services and accessories to help operators to keep to their legal undertakings."

And much the same applies to drivers. "Drivers must ensure that they complete 35 hours of periodic Driver CPC training every five years ... for which we run JAUPT-approved Driver CPC courses," says Broomfield.

Novadata's will be demonstrating its philosophy of 'healthy compliance' – compliance that can be evidenced through a robust audit trail – at the CV Show.
