Mail service operator signs, seals and delivers with Isuzu Urbans 23 March 2015

Mail service provider Jersey Post has taken delivery of two Euro 6 7.5-tonne Isuzu Urban trucks, adapted for airside collections and deliveries at the island’s airport.

Supplied by dealer Rabeys Group, Jersey Post selected the model after seeing the range at last year's Commercial Vehicle Show.

"When we were at the CV Show last year, we had a really close look at the new Isuzu Urban and felt that it would have great potential for regular use here in Jersey," says Nick Perchard-Rees, transport manager (pictured left with Gerry Le Vannais of dealer Rabeys Group).

The Urban N75.150 4 x 2 rigids have been custom-built for Jersey Post with 1.5-tonne capacity rear-column tail-lifts, and feature Isuzu's Easyshift semi-automated transmission.

Both vehicles have additional roof lights and have rigid box bodies that fully comply with all airport regulations. They feature Isuzu's four-cylinder, 3-litre 150BHP engine.

Replacing two existing 7.5-tonne vehicles, the trucks will be in operation for up to nine years.
