Manufactured by Don-Bur with leasing and maintenance through TIP, the new trailers will be in operation in the coming weeks.
Whistl worked with Don-Bur on the design, which allows Whistl to take various container sizes to transport mail, large letters and parcels.
“We are a growing business, not only in our core sector of business mail but also in our parcel services,” says Whistl’s CEo Nick Wells.
“The new trucks give us scalable and flexible infrastructure to handle the increasing mix of items that customers hand over to us to process.”
The operator is anticipating operational efficiencies, increased capacity and improved mpg.
This is the latest significant investment by Whistl, which also spent £9m on new tractors last year.
